| May 12 to Jul 01 Opening May 12 12-4pm The Fort Langley Artists Group presents an exhibition called FARMS OF THE VALLEY, at the CN Station on the corner of Glover and Mavis in Fort Langley.May 27 to May 27 Workshop May 27 12-4pm PRINTMAKING WORKSHOP INTRODUCTION TO DRYPOINT ETCHING Intructor: Candice Perry Moen Location: Neighbourhood Art Studios, 1-20059 92A Ave, Langley, B.C. Date: Sunday, May 27 Time: 12- 4pm Cost: $60 $20materials (includes 100% cotton rag papers, ink and 5 by 7 plate) An introduction to the ancient art of printmaking, etching was used for all print before computers were invented. A modern day variation, with the invention of plexiglass, drypoint etching is easier to work with than metal, and also less toxic than using chemicals. This workshop will introduce you to a variety of printing methods using plexiglass and a etching press. Come learn to print like the masters! Techniques will include; Drypoint (drawing on the plate with a sharp point), monotype and monoprint. Small class size (8 student max) will ensure maximum guidance and individual customized support.
